Marathon
I was going to blog about how Bush wants us to live in desperate fear of terrorists for all eternity. Instead, I will use this space to declare that my wife completed the Chicago marathon yesterday, in 6 hours and one minute. It was a wonderful day. There were about a million fans out cheering the runners through the entire 26.2 mile course, there were 8000 volunteers handing out water, gatorade, and bananas. It was as if all the best people in Chicago came out on this day to support the runners. Thank you Chi-town, you did splendid.
Comments:
Running the Chicago Marathon was one of the greatest experiences of my life. I'm so grateful to all the volunteers, spectators, dancers, musicians who made the miles fly by. And I'd like to thank you Curtiscim for all the stops you made, for being there for me.

Congratulations to Mrs Erhart. Well done Curtis, for supporting her, but my question is, why weren't you supporting her side by side in the race ;-)

Ah, "Hrun." And all this time I've been pronouncing it "Hrun." What an idiot!
Thanks Kav. Or is it pronounced "Kav"?

No, no you got it right the first time :-)
Actually I have only ever seen Hrun written down; it's a character in a book. In my mind its always said with a short 'huh' like a mini exhalation, with 'run' immediately following.
